My stay at Hanoi Banana Hostel was a mixed bag. The location in the Old Quarter is fantastic, being tucked away in a quiet corner yet close to vibrant nightlife. While I loved the spacious beds with privacy curtains, some facilities like the bathrooms need improvement. Overall, I had a pleasant experience, but there are a few areas that could be better.

I booked a bunk bed in a female dorm room for 3 nights. The middle bunk I was assigned was cozy, and the privacy curtain was a nice touch. The bed was spacious and the locker could fit my backpack perfectly. However, the female dorm wasn't very private and noise from the common area could be distracting.
Service

The staff was lovely and very friendly, always ready to help. I appreciated that everyone spoke good English, which made communication easy. They contacted me prior to my arrival with directions, which was helpful.

The hostel is located in the Old Quarter, which is a great spot for exploring the city. While it's in a quiet alley, it's still close to the nightlife and attractions. I felt secure and comfortable walking around the area.
Dining

I didn’t take advantage of the dining facilities too much, but I noticed they had a common kitchen for guests. It’s nice to have that option for cooking. Some breakfast bars were available, but I didn't explore them.
Facilities

While the hostel had some modern amenities like a smart toilet, I encountered issues with the bathroom that was initially out of order and a small shower cabin that could've been cleaner. The common areas were cozy but could use more space for dining.

My stay at Hanoi Banana Hostel was quite enjoyable overall! The staff were friendly, and I loved the cleanliness and comfort of the beds. However, the bathroom situation was a bit disappointing, especially with the lack of hot water and occasional issues with water supply. 🌟

The facilities included laundry and a cozy hanging-out area; however, the shared bathroom situation could use improvement due to the small space.

My stay at Hanoi Banana Hostel had its ups and downs. The spacious beds and great location for nightlife were definite highlights, but some issues, like the lack of privacy in the female dorm and cleanliness of the showers, detracted from the experience. Overall, it was a decent stay with a few improvements needed.

Rooms

The bunk bed in the female dormitory was incredibly spacious, but the lack of privacy due to curtain separation was off-putting. Also, the shower cabin was quite small and not cleaned daily.
Service

While some staff were friendly and helpful, my initial check-in experience felt a bit cold and unwelcoming. The lack of guidance on finding my room was also disappointing.

My stay at Hanoi Banana Hostel was a mix of nice experiences and a few drawbacks. The location was fantastic, close to the Old Quarter and major tourist attractions, which was perfect for my solo adventure. However, the shared bathroom setup was a bit lacking, and privacy could be a concern with the sheer curtains in the dorms.

Rooms

I stayed in a dormitory room, and while the interior was quite cute, I found the bathrooms to be a bit cramped. With only one bathroom for the female dorm, it felt a bit inconvenient at times.
Service

Location

The hostel is tucked away a bit, so finding it was tricky at first, but once I arrived, I appreciated how close it was to the main attractions.
Dining

I didn't dine extensively at the hostel, but the location offered plenty of nearby restaurants to explore local cuisine.
Facilities

While there were some common areas, I felt the lack of separation made it hard to relax, especially later in the evening.

My stay at Hanoi Banana Hostel was fantastic overall. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help, but the air conditioning on the lower floor was pretty loud, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Still, the location was great, just off the old town, making it peaceful yet accessible.
